Since you are waiting on ASUU and admission, it is good that you make the wait a productive one.

Make everyday count by learning and doing things that will make your future easy and luxurious. It is not good to just focus on fun, hangout, outings, sleep and movies.

Fun is good but now is the time to improve yourself so that you will have fun when you get old. Yes, there are a lot of people suffering in their old age because they were too playful and not serious during their youthful years.

You don't want to be like that. Do not wait until you do not have a choice before you improve yourself.

Things you should do while waiting for ASUU and Admission:

1. Learn a new skill that can help you get money legitimately.

There are a lot of skills that you can learn that can get you legitimate income. Example of skills you can learn are:

  • Coding
  • Computer operating skills (how to use the computer and it's packages)
  • Shoe making
  • Hair dressing
  • Make up
  • Photography
  • Tailoring and fashion designing
  • Forex trading and lots more

2. Get a small job to gather funds and some work experience.

The funds can  help you  get provisions or pay for some bills when you resume back to school.

A small job now will add up to your work experience in your Curriculum Vitae (CV) when you eventually graduate from school.

There are jobs that you can apply for with your secondary school certificate. Example:

  • Waiter/ waitress
  • Cleaning jobs
  • Retail shop cashier
  • Sales boys and girls
  • Nanny and Manny jobs in nursery schools
  • Driving jobs
  • House keeping
  • Cook, etc.

3. Trade something online or offline.

Buying and selling goods can give you some good profit if you know how to market your goods.

If you have some cash, you can invest it into buying goods at a cheap rate and resale it online or around your neighborhood.

If you do not have money, you can help others to sale their goods by adding a little gain for yourself; if the owner sells a good for N3000 for instance, you can sell it for N3500. You will give the main seller his N3000 and pocket N500. Cool right?

You can go to any shop and discuss with the owner, take pictures of goods and advertise it online.

Another way is to get these goods photos from online store, advertise it on your social media handles. When someone wants to buy you will order the goods and then add your gain on top.

Here are some things you can sale to make profit:

  • Okrika (thrift) wears
  • Okrika bags
  • Wigs and hair products
  • Foodstuff
  • Shoes
  • Tickets for big shows
  • Aba made and foreign made clothes
  • Furnitures
  • Textiles

4. Develop Your Passion Into A Skill

The best way to know what to do in life is by following your passion. What do you like doing that gives you so much pleasure? Do you like writing, dancing, acting, singing or playing with the computer?

While waiting for admission and ASUU go and improve that natural talent. You can learn everything online with your phone and for free.

5. Study Ahead Of Time

While you are waiting for ASUU to call of the strike and while you are waiting for that admission list, make out time to study.

Get your course outline, go online and read about your course. You can also go to the school and get materials from those ahead of your school level. Never say you don't like reading when you are a student.

Get busy with reading and studying ahead of resumption. It will make your studies easier when you resume. Besides, they might resume with an exam timetable. Who knows?

6. Get Paid Being A Middle Sales Person

In simple language, do you know that you can make money selling cement, buildings and landed properties without any capital? It just depends on how good you are at marketing and convincing prospective buyers.

You can help a landlord to sell or lease his properties and get a commission for it. For instance, someone wants to sell a house for N200 million and you get a buyer for them, you might get a 10% cut. Depending on your agreement before the sales. 10% is N2milion.

You can sell cement to construction companies. How? Look for a major cement distributor or contact the cement company and get the price for each bag and trucks. Contact a construction company and get them to buy through you.

The distribution company will deliver it to them, you just make payments and get your cut. You may add N20 per bag. A truck can carry 600 to 900 bags of cement. You will be gaining 20×600 per trip and more.

The 2023/2024 Chevening Scholarship application is now open. Apply for a fully funded scholarship for your masters degree in the UK.

It depends on your marketing skills and sometimes your connection.

Lastly, stay away from crime and respect your parents. Stop looking up to people that spend lavishly online. Stop trying to compete or copy anyone living an extravagant lifestyle.

Most of them are into illegal deals. Some have worked really hard before they got to where they are right now so do not rush to be a big boy or girl. Take it jejely...

Have plans, have goals and do things every day that will take you closer to your goals. Remember to make every day count.

Overthinking Is Not The Cause Of Every Problem

Do You Think Overthinking Is The Cause Of Every Problem? People don't just suffer because of worries of the heart. What they are battling may be sickness, accident recovery, serious lack or severe stress from work. And in this case blind advice will not mean much to them.  Before you advise someone or start judging them, know that there are some kinds of problems that whether you care to think about it or not, it will painfully affect you; you will still suffer the pain. You can't avoid the pain and the effect whether you are overthinking it or not.  Someone that was beaten or that is sick will feel pain even if they have a positive mindset. No matter how your mind is off it, your body will respond to it and the effect will be felt. Get your transcription into different languages here. Someone that is constantly starving too will feel pain and their body will change. It can even make them weak and unable to function well. This can take away their happiness and it is not becaus...

The fights are between ChiChi vs Bella in the Island house and Amaka vs Phyna in the Trenches house. 1. ChiChi vs Bella So ChiChi complained about the tasks pairing and that she doesn't like the pairing. Bella countered her and said she should have complained about her displeasure since and not now. The Back Ends (Poem)

BACK ENDS Chasing the wind Lost in the whirlwind The noise,  The sound of anger The hidden and open horror The sweet excitement Mixed up in the moment Photo Credit: Octavia Fossatti/unsplash Was there an assurance? Oh the brutal romance Was it mutual? Oh the crossroads  It said "two became one" These two are separate individuals Two clashing wants Enjoy the moment while it last" A phrase of a player A player with multiple faces Get in the game and be an outcast It will be you in an utopia But your intuition will beg to differ In the end, follow your intuition Read: "life is sometimes like this" by Godiya Joshua
